So today I was being emotional in the car, and my mother said to me:
"So Caitlin, does it kind of feel like you were a bird in Skidmore's nuturing, warm nest and now you've been kicked out?"
My head was flooded with what I imagined to be the awful, carnal, bloody display of the fateful day when Pip and Edward met their ends.
"No Mom, it feels like I was in my nurturing nest, and a vengeful crow perched itself on my ledge only to destroy the life I knew, leaving nothing but a wake of dessicated sticks and blades of dried grass. That's what graduating is like."

yikes!
I was actually telling my family all about the Giselle, Pip and Edward. They weren't as horrified by the event as I felt they should be. I felt like it was some kind of omen.
...Though now there are 3 bird nests in my backyard. I don't know what they are symbolic of, but I thought it was aptly metaphorical.
We sadly took their nest down yesterday. No remains were found. I prefer to think that our little babies were brave enough to fly away from the crow, or that Giselle and Robert swooped down in a heroic rescue. One will never know...
In other news, I have added crows to my list of evil animals, just below the mini-lion.
Lauren, so what else is on the evil animal list? lady bugs?
I had completely forgotten about the lady bugs! They certainly are fierce creatures...
Lady bugs...and of course, suicidal deer!
