the social events coordinator has a plan:

Dear Friends,

Here’s a possible itinerary:

Friday: I arrive at noon and Claire arrives at 1PM both at JFK. So, Diddy said she’d come to the airport to find me, then we can go find Claire and the three of us will take the AirTrain to the city and then find Cait somewhere at a subways stop of her choice. Then, Leah and Lauren will come from NJ and find us somewhere and Gretchen will find us in this mystery location whenever she gets in.

Saturday: This is the best day to go to Long Island (see Gretch’s comment on Cait’s post for why). Yay for wine and goats!

Sunday: we will probably meet back in the city (if everyone wants to), brunch with mimosas anyone???? We can wander about while Lauren has her interview and everybody can leave when they need to. I leave Monday morning at 8:40AM from JFK.

Do we like this plan? Everyone please reply with when and where she will be arriving on Friday and when and where she will be leaving from on Sunday.

Love,

Your social events coordinator

This all sounds good- just wondering if we are going to stop by my place after I meet you at the airport so you can drop your stuff off.

Also, it would be fun if everyone could come out to Brooklyn for a visit! Maybe we could do Sunday brunch here, there are some nice places nearby, and I can show you all my place. Hopefully it will be more put together by then. There is also a "feminist art exhibit" at the brooklyn museum which is like 5min from where I live :)

Thanks for keeping us organized Lizzie- I'll call you soon!

i dunno, i guess lets see where we want to meet everyone and what is most convenient. I'll have my Suri bag with me which i can take around with me so it's not a big deal if we can't get back to your apartment.

i'm excited!!!!!

Ben and I will get to the city at like midnight on Friday, so I will most likely meet whoever is at Emily's house at Emily's house just in time for bed. (Ben will be staying with his friend in another part of the city, but he will probably help me find your house emily. Is it subway accessible?)

Then Saturday through Sunday afternoon I can do whatever everyone wants. :)

Just so everyone knows what my schedule will be like that weekend...My job interview is at 10:30 am on Sunday so I will probably just meet whoever, wherever afterwards.

I think I am going to skip out on Long Island on Saturday, sadly. It's a long ride from Jersey with the two trains and also quite expensive. I know I could likely stay at someone's house Friday and Saturday night so I don't keep traveling back and forth from Jersey, but I will have just gotten home from Durham, I have to move into the city on the 27th, so I really think it's going to be too much traveling craziness for me. So anyway, as of right now, I will be in the city on both Friday and Sunday.

I'm sad that I'm probably going to miss the most fun day, but it's a very, very busy week for me and I will at least get to see you all two out of the three days!!

Lauren and I should be arriving from NJ around 2pm if all goes well. I will be leaving from my house around 8am and it takes about 3.5 hrs to get to her house. We will meet up somewhere wherever you need us to meet up, though I assume somewhere in Manhatten. As Lauren mentioned below, she wont be spending the day in LI, so I messaged Cait to see if I can spend the night in LI on Fri and Sat to avoid the crazy commute (time and money-wise) from LI to NJ a few times. Sat I will spend with you all and the goats. As for Sunday, if I can stay at Caits, I'm up for brunch somewhere and then I will probably have to make it back to NJ by 2:30 or so, so I can pick up my car and make it back home in the evening. If I stay in NJ, I will probably leave before Lauren heads out for her interview. Cait, only Claire is staying with you right? So you have room for me?

Any ideas on what we want to do Fri afternoon?

LOVE, Leah

Gretchen- My apartment is right across from the "Park Place" subway stop in Brooklyn. It's on the S line or the shuttle and it only has four stops on it. It's easy to get to from Manhattan if you take either a C train to Franklin Ave in Brooklyn or a B/Q train to the Prospect Park stop and transfer. Give me a call if you need better directions!

Lizzie- to get to Manhattan from JFK you can basically take a subway line that stops right at my place so if you want to stop there and drop off your stuff on the way into Manhattan that wouldn't be a problem. Whatever you want to do!

I can't believe it's happening so soon! I'm totally confused about all the scheduling though haha

Also,

My friend's wedding is today! Wish me luck on my toast :)
