Hello Guys,
Much to sort out before Friday.
Erin called me a few days ago and said she would be coming down to join us. She's driving down with her parents on Saturday but doesn't know when she'll be getting in. I thought about saying we'd just stay in the city that day so she could find us, but she's still going to have a years worth of suitcases with her, so that's not really going to be a solution. We haven't quite figured this out.
Erin also needs a place to stay. She leaves for China at 6 AM on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, I really can't leave work on Monday, wait for Andy to get in to Grand Central Station at 8, to take her back to my home to pick up her stuff and then drive back to the Queens to the airport. Is there space at your house Em? It might make more sense because she could walk across to the subway and take the E to Jamaica. If it's too cramped, someone at your house can stay at mine.
Any ideas?
Can't wait to see you all!

Much to sort out indeed. Sadly, I have no insights into getting Erin housing or to the airport, but I do have a related concern. I was planning on bringing my carry-on suitcase with me, but realised that if we're going to be in the city, that might be a bit inconvenient. Will there be somewhere for me to put it while we're on the town, or do I need to rethink my packing plans?
I can stay with Ben's friend on Friday night, so that frees up space in that regards.
Are we still going to be in LI on Saturday? If so, how will we get there.
If need be, I can also stay at Ben's friend's house on Saturday, but if possible, I would like to stay with some friends! :)
Ok, so general consensus is that people still want to go wine tasting/pick berries/see the fainting goats and eat their delicious cheese.
For Gretchen and Em, you only need to get part way. Take the subway to Jamaica, walk upstairs and take pretty much any train that goes to Long Island and I'll pick you up. Your end of the trip shouldn't take long and I did the exact same thing from Alex's apartment last week and it's very easy.
My next issue. What does everyone want for dinner tomorrow?
I'll eat anything, but i've been craving middle-eastern/thai/vietnamese recently. i feel like i'll need some yummy NY pizza at some point this weekend too. but, since we probably won't be able to get everyone's opinion via the blog by tomorrow, maybe cait, you chould just use your best judgement and recommend something tasty, or a place with a variety.
I'll be happy wherever as long as it's not super expensive. I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!
it's me erin look what i can do
